Do I pay to use the Mud Bath?
The baths and geothermal valley are free to visit. Parking is paid separately.
Are there changing rooms and toilets?
Yes. New changing facilities serve Mud Bath guests, and good WC facilities are available to all visitors to the area.
Can I see the northern lights at Hveradalir?
When nights are dark and skies are clear enough, northern lights can appear above the valley. The darker months, roughly September to April, are the time to look. Check the Icelandic Met Office aurora forecast before setting out. Sightings depend on natural conditions.
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear and a towel for bathing. Dress for the outdoors if you plan to explore the valley, and shower before entering the baths.
